HELP! I am trying to compose a new post with pictures. All of a sudden Blogger has told me that I have used all my free space in Picasa (uh... I have no idea WHAT that means) and that I have to purchase more space for my pictures. I didn't know that blogger used Picasa to store all my "blog pics". Can someone explain this to me?
Is there anyone out there having this problem, or is it just MY blog?
Please help!

Krista, Picasa is a free photo editing/storing program through google. I use it and love it. By creating a blog through blogger, it automatically creates a Picasa web-album that helps store and manage all the photos you upload onto your blog. You get 1 GB of storage for free, and then have to pay for additional storage. Here are a link that describes it: http://picasa.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=61627
There is a link at the bottom of the page of your dashboard screen in blogger that will take you directly to Picasa Web Albums, and you can see the albums you have. It should say at the bottom of that screen how much storage you have used. I'm surprised that you have reached your limit. That seems a little premature in my mind - I use picasa web albums for sharing purposes as well and I'm only using 50% of the storage. Soo ... I don't know what to tell you. I tried to find a way to opt out of the picasa web album associated with blogger, but I can't find anything. That really stinks, I'm sorry.
Picasa really is fabulous - I hope maybe there's an error and you still have storage left so you don't have to pay for it! Call me or keep me posted on what you find. I hope some of this helped.
Yeah I think they just started doing this, but I heard it is only like $5 a year to buy more than enough storage...I haven't gotten the message yet, so I don't know for sure but that is what I am hearing. Good luck!
Krista,
Ditto to everything said by everyone else. I got this message a few months ago and started using flickr to store pictures and then linking them to my blog posts. Also I have friends that just made another blogger account and added that account as a second author. Either way would work for more free picture storage.
