Christmas Card

  Here's our Christmas card this year.  Oh, you didn't get one in the mail?  That's right I didn't get around to printing them, stuffing the envelopes or mailing them.  I knew there was something I forgot to do.

This will have to do this year!

Oh Christmas Tree!

We started decorating for Christmas a little early this year.  We busted out the tree and trimmings before Thanksgiving.  Whitney LOVED it.  I loved it when she went to bed and I could decorate the tree without my little 'helper'.  The following morning, she woke up and had a confused look on her face.  This is her when she first saw our tree:

Grandparents' Visit

A couple of weeks ago, we had a visit from Bart's parents.  We love having visitors, and this was a special treat.

They came in on a Wednesday and the following day we drove up to Kirtland, OH.  It was so fun to see the sites of Historic Kirtland.  This included a tour of the Kirtland temple.  It was beautiful to visit.  (And Whitney slept the nearly the whole time we toured the temple- wonderful!)

Then we drove over to see The Christmas Story House.  I wanted to buy Steve a leg lamp, but I knew Marsha wouldn't be happy about that purchase!  Here are some pictures of us by that famous house.  (It's now a museum.)

We also got a chance to go to the Columbus Zoo and see the animals.  Whitney LOVES the zoo so it was especially fun to go with "Nama" (Grandma/Grandpa)

Out to eat a few times:  Thanks for the special treat!

Bart his Dad even got to go to the OSU vs. University of Iowa game.  Steve was glad that he dressed up in OSU gear instead of Iowa clothes.  OSU's fans are pretty tacky and say mean things to other fans.

Happy, Happy Birthday, Baby!

Today is Bart's 29th Birthday.  There are so many things I love about this boy.  Some of them you may, or may not be familiar with.  Here are just a few of the things that I love about Bart.

1.  Bart makes me laugh, really hard.  He's always doing funny things just to make me laugh.  Things like lifting up his armpits when they are very sweaty and letting me take a picture.

2.  Bart doesn't care if I act crazy in public or in our home.  He likes to be crazy too.

3.  Bart is a caring daddy and adores Whitney.  He loves to take care of her.  One of his favorite things to do is tease, tease, tease our little Whitney.

4.  Bart is always good to go on our little adventures together and always has a positive attitude about it.

5.  Bart works very hard in school and tries his best.  He is a diligent worker.

6.  Bart is a softy.

7. Bart makes me feel very special.

8.  Bart used to be a UTE?  Yes.  Bart was a the biggest Utah fan while he was growing up.  He transfered to BYU after his mission.  (And that's where we met.)  He is the BEST BYU fan now.  He's seen the light!   I love this picture of him doing janitorial work as a Utah fan.

9.  Bart is a great listener and a loyal friend.

10.  Bart is handsome, happy, lovable and faithful.  I love him!  (So does Whitney!)
