Work

Want to see what our morning looks like when Little Miss(fit) wakes up too early?  First, it's a grouchy breakfast of oatmeal and then she begs to go to Zoombezi Bay.  Luckily for her- that's exactly what she was getting today WITH an added bonus... Jadyn & Lexie were coming too!  The only catch:  She had to wait 4 hours before the water park opened.

So starting about an hour after she awoke-- she started begging to go.  (At this point, she only had three hours left to wait... come on!)  She just HAD to put on her "swimsoup" and refused to take off her shirt.  Thus we have this really awesome look:

It's darling... I know.

Unfortunately, 3 hours felt like an eternity for both little Whit and me.  Yes, we found things to do inside (make muffins, fold laundry, vacuum, do the dishes, eat a popsicle, and play with magnets)- but then was the real treat.  Whitney got to "work"... which happens to be one of her most favorite things to do.

She likes to take her little play kitchen and put it on it's side.  Then she goes to town with Daddy's tools.  Yes, I let her play with all of them.  (Except for the knife.)  This keeps her entertained for quite sometime.  Even the lure of Zoombezi Bay can't get her away from "Man's Work. "

Here are the pictures I took.  I just couldn't help myself.  She's so handy.

She's mad because I wouldn't take the exact screw driver that she wanted out of the tool box.

She loves this.

Good News!

Actually, even better news:
The doctor moved my due date UP to the 16th!  Lucky me!

We are so very excited!

Summer Days

When it's too hot and muggy to go outside (unless we go to Zoombezi Bay), Whitney has some great ideas for what to do indoors.  Usually this consists of doing either something with my car keys, playing with Jadyn or walking around in a pair of my shoes.

We love our summer watermelon and our corn-on-the-cob.

On a much cuter note,
This past Sunday, Whitney and I had the following conversation:

Me:  I love you!
Whitney:  I love you.
Me:  How much do you love me?
Whitney:  Fifty-six
Me (laughing):  Fifty-six?
Whitney smiles:  Fifty-six

56 is a lot.

Sabby's Visit

We just had a lovely visit from Bart's sister, Stephanie ("Seffy" as Whit calls her) and Samantha (Whit calls her "Sabby" or "Baby Sabby" or "Mantha").

It was so much fun to have someone here that kept us entertained and got us out of the house for a variety of activities.  I only wish I had taken more pictures!

We did lots of activities:  Went to see the Columbus Temple, lots of drives downtown, to the ghetto, visit the old nasty school where I taught, went to visit Amish country, the Kirtland Temple and Kirtland, Ohio.  We also saw fireworks, watched a parade, played at parks, visited the library, ate lots of yummy food, went to Zoombezi bay (3 times), long humid, sticky walks with the twinner strollers, went to the 1/2 off sale at the Thrift store, watered my thirsty garden, made Scotch-a-roos (Thanks Steph!), laughed a lot and watched only 4 channels on our t.v. with no cable.

We were SO sad to see Steph and Sammy leave.  Whitney had tears in her eyes at the airport as we waved "goodbye."  She still sneaks down to the basement to see if she can catch "Sabby sleeping."

Please visit soon!  We miss you!
