Disney Day 3

IT was our final day at Disneyland.  Bart and I really wanted to make sure that the kids got to do everything THEY wanted to.  We had pretty much been on every ride, so it was just our chance to do all those things one more time.
Here are the kids (above) with their Mickey & Minnie Mouse animals.  They are eating a nutritious breakfast of Nutrigrain bars.

Just before the park opened.  There were Halloween decorations everywhere.  Bart LOVES Halloween and now Bubba does too!

We also got to see Mickey again.  Yes, I ran after him as he was just getting to this spot.  We were the 2nd people in line.  Sometimes it pays to be aggressive, even if it mean embarrassing your husband.

They both love him.  (Side note:  MacKay is wearning a new Mickey shirt.  Whitney decided she wanted to re-wear her 2nd day Minnie shirt.  So, that is why she is wearing the same outfit as the day before!)

So cute:

Our family.

Dumbo ride:

Pirates:

Haunted Mansion:

The kids got their faces painted for freeeeee (one of the few free things in D.L.)

Jungle Cruise.  P.S.  the sign said 15 minute wait.  So we waited... and 45 minutes later we got on the boat.  Ugh!  So annoying.  Bart held Bubba the whole time while he slept.

Then we went back to California Adventure.  Here we are in Bug's Life Land:

Waiting to get on Maeter's Ride:

And then ....
Back to D.L.    We wanted to end our last day here.

And we went on this ride over and over and over...  Look at Bubba cheesin it!

It was getting late and Whitney said, "Take my picture on this bench!"  So I did.

 Waiting for the parade:
P.S.  I found the PERFECT spot to sit.  I held our spot while Bart took the kids on a few more rides.  If you sit in this spot you are about 98% guaranteed that every character in the parade will wave at you.  It was pretty neat that they did.  Our kids LOVE the parade!

The Carousel:

Bart actually pulled out the sword.  Pretty awesome.  He must be royal.

Favorite memories of day 3:
-Whitney telling me she had to go #2 as we were getting on the Nemo ride.  We didn't quite make it to the toilet... so she went commando the rest of the day.
-Being together as a family of 4.5
-The nice cool evening- it finally was cooling off!
-Bart and Whitney got to see Rapunzel and Eugene walking through the park.
-Ice cream at McDonald's on our walk home.
-Feeling 100% satisfied that we got to do it all!

And the following morning, we packed up our hotel room and took the 10 hour drive back home:

DL Day 2

Day 2 of Disneyland started EARLY.  Poor Bubba was exhausted when we woke him up. We had to get to the park early because it was our "magical morning."  The one where you can get into Disneyland early.  We went over to Fantasy Land.  That's the kids' favorite.  Dumbo ride, Alice in Wonderland, Teacups, etc. etc.  Oh, wait. We did get stuck on Mr. Toad's Wild ride.  If you thought that ride was ghetto, just wait until they turn ON the lights.  It's like I could have made it from the junk in my parents' garage.

Here's me and Bubba on the teacups.  Whitney always chooses the pink cup.

Then when California Adventure opened up... we went over there.  Bart and Steve went to wait in line for the Fast Pass to get on the Racers Ride.  Meg and I took our little chickens over to Bug's Life Land.  I LOVE the mornings at DL & CA.  There aren't as many people there... it wasn't AS hot and the kids could walk onto every ride.  The kiddie rides are so cute.  MacKay and Whitney LOVED them. Super cute.  Here are the kids waiting to get on Maeter's Tow Truck Ride in Cars Land.  So cute.  These kids had fun together.

Here we are meeting Lighting.  This is the REAL one, guys.  He talks, honks and REVs his engine.  This was the ONLY character MacKay was not so sure about.  (Even though he LOVES him on the big screen.)

MacKay didn't really want to be next to him.  Love from a distance, I guess.

Bart and Steve went on California Screamin after they picked up the fast passes.  Then the kids went on this ride:  MacKay and I watched.

Here is me bribing the kids with junk food.  I watched the kids while the other adults and Ella went on Tower of Terror.  I even told the kids if they ran off, then I'd make them go on the ride.  They sat very well for me. :)

Here's our family- and our stroller.  SO happy we brought that thing!

MacKay loves a woman in spandex.

Elasti-Girl didn't want me standing next to her man, Mr. Incredible.  It was pretty funny.  LOVE Bubba's smile in this one:

Right after we went on his ride, we spotted him.  What a nice Sulley.

At the sign for the new Cars Land.  Is this why it was busy?

I love The Little Mermaid Ride.  It was a quick walk-on ride.  The kids loved it and I think we went on it about 10 times.

Here we are at Paradise Pier.
Bubba started getting mad about me taking pictures.  Here is his face when I told him to smile:

This was a nice evening.  We had a great time.  Bubba did take a nap this day in Bart's arms.  The kids had fun and this evening cooled off quite a bit.  California Adventure was very fun.  The lights are so magical.  That evening we watched Mickey's Colors on the water.

Look at these two:

This night was late, and after showering down, Bubba fell right to sleep.  He said, "Mickey!"  and grabbed his new Mickey Mouse.  So cute.  (And this boy never falls asleep with the lights on and other people in the room!)  He was so tired!

My favorite memories from day 2?
-The new Racers Ride
-Watching Whitney watch the Minnie Mouse whos mouth moved and eyes blinked right outside of Soarin' Over California.
-Being on Soarin' Ride.  Whitney did NOT love that one.  I was just so proud of her for trying ALL the rides. (Minus Tower of Terror :)
-Being there with Meg/Steve & their kids.
-Watching Bubba melt into the bed after a busy day.
