Baby Showers

I have wonderful friends out here in Columbus who are SO thoughtful. I had shower with some of the girls from my ward, and a shower with some of the dental wives. People have been very generous and kind. Thank you so much!!!!

We are so EXCITED to meet our new little baby. She moves around quite a bit and likes to poke her feet/arms/legs out.

I have finished working, and get to sleep in for the next few weeks. It's better than I had imagined it would be. I have started drying fruit (dehydration). I loved dried bananas- but Bart thinks they are nasty. He prefers the green Granny Smith apples.

Just a few essential items (like a car seat) and we'll be ready for this baby to come.

36 weeks and counting!

Here are some of the dental wives.

Lacy, me and Adrienne.
We were all pregnant at one time.
Can you believe Adrienne had her baby just weeks ago?
Lacy is due in November.

Kendall made this "hooter hider" for nursing. She is very talented.

Kendall (above) and Heather (below) were so
kind to throw me a shower with the girls from my ward. Thank you!

The Fruits of Our Labors

Well, these are actually vegetables. I started on this project a few months ago- and then decided that I was getting to big to bend over. Bart has taken full responsibility of the garden, which I am so thankful for. He waters it daily, unless it is raining. He really has a green thumb. The garden is growing and we even have our first veggie. Bart is excited that it is a banana pepper. We'll see if/when the other vegetables arrive.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great Independence Day this year. We woke up early to watch a parade in Upper Arlington. It was wet and rainy, but we were prepared with umbrellas and camping chairs. We then had a lovely "brunch" with some of our friends. Afterwards, we both needed a well-deserved nap. For the evening festivities, we were invited to partake in a BBQ and firework celebration at our friends Matt & Katie's parents' home. It was beautiful. We had so much fun. I am trying to post pictures, but some of them turned out fuzzy! Sad!

Bart and me at the Clark's home.

Here are some of the boys at the Clark's house.

Bart loves this game. It's called Corn Hole and is quite popular in Ohio. It's basically bean-bag toss with more rules.
