I haven't posted about Whintey's preschool graduation yet. Partly because three kids keep me pretty busy... but also because it makes me a little sad.
Whitney has loved preschool. She loves her teacher, her friends, the letter of the week, learning songs and wearing her backpack. Before having the baby I would drop her off in the car and most often she would ask me to walk her in. That's cute. I want to remember that. In all her independence, she still wants me to walk her in.. sometimes.
Whitney is my oldest, and therefore, the guinea pig in so many ways. But she's also had my heart from before she was born. I love her. She's my only girl.. so far. Her birth was the beginning of a new chapter in my life- motherhood. She's my buddy. After Bubba was born, I would leave him and Bart at home. Whitney would be in her carseat, age 2 and would yell, "Woo Hoo! Girls' Night! Woo Hoo!"
I want to remember that too.
We are the girls.
When Bart was telling Bubba about Father & Sons' campout, Whitney said, "When do we have the Mother and me campout?" I am worried about next year. If I send Whit to kindy-garten, she'll be the very youngest in her grade. That has me worried. I was the oldest and so was Barty. But she seems so ready. She's learning to read and write and be so grown up. We'll see how this all goes!
Here's a few pics from that COLD graduation morning:
Thank you Liss Meanne! It was a wonderful year! We are sad you've moved to DC!!! :(

Blessed!
On May 5, 2013 our little baby boy, Jase Allen Paxton was given a name and blessing by his Father. It was special day. The weather was great and it was nice to have family in attendance. Afterwards we had a lunch at our (tiny) house.
I've journaled the beautiful blessing given by Bart. It was very sweet.
My hope for my boy is to stay strong. To be on the side for good. To stand up for what is true and honest and right. To resist temptation to be just like others and to be fiercely loyal to the cause for good. That is the hope I have for him and all of my children.
Here are some pics:

After everyone left, MacKay sat down with popcorn and Toy Story. I went to check on him and this is how I found him.... he was SO tired!!
Three Month Jase
It's hard to believe our little baby is already three months. What a doll he is. He is so chill. Just this week, he has started to take naps in his crib. (We had him swinging in the swing for a long time.) He loves his miracle blanket. It's a true miracle.
As I type this post, all three of my babies are sleeping. Those moments happen rarely, and so I am savoring this quiet moment. I am very blessed.
My good friend, Heather, asked me yesterday if I was on some sort of medication because I seemed so calm and happy. What a great compliment! I think the transition from 1 to 2 kids was more challenging for me. I have been so blessed this time around. I think it's because of my Primary calling. I have felt so supported and been able to handle the transition better. We've also been pretty healthy. After MacKay was born, we were sick, sick and more sick.
There are numerous moments throughout the day where I just literally, stop and look at how adorable my kids are. They make me laugh. (Oh, yes.. there are many moments when I lose-it as well!) But I am trying so hard to hold onto my kids at this age. Time is going by so quickly. Before I know it, they won't want me to come and lay by them and read them stories. That is sad. SO, I say, "Yes!" to "One more minute?" when they ask me to stay for a little longer to snuggle.
As for our Baby Jase....
he's a good one. He loves his Mommy and Daddy. He's starting to recognize when he's in a stranger's arms. We love having him babble, and coo and "talk" whenever he's awake. He munches and crunches on his hands and starts to kick those feet. He loves being tickled and is my most ticklish baby boy.
