Whitney and I flew to Seattle on the 9th of October. I realize that was almost a month ago- but it all went by so quickly. This was the first time Whitney had her own paid-for seat on the airplane, and boy did she LOVE it! When we landed for our layover (SOMEDAY will I be able to afford a non-stop? I hope!!!), and the plane was doing it's final descent, she was laughing and said, "DO it again!!!"
Then after walking around the Chicago airport for an hour, we had a four-hour-flight ahead of us. It seemed like I felt every minute of that four hours. Luckily, we had all three seats in our row, so Whitney could use me as a personal trampoline. That was exactly what I wanted being seven months prego.
We arrived to "Katy's house" around 1 am Ohio time. Whitney didn't mind as the two of us shared a king-sized bed for the duration of our stay. There is nothing Whit likes more than sleeping face to face with her mommy, so she was in heaven. I, well... not so much.
The following morning, we went to Church, where Whitney was in melt-down because of lack of sleep. I was right along there with her in that department. But after church, naps and dinner, we went to visit our sweet Grandfather, Papa John. These pictures are very special to me, as they are the last ones I ever got with him. He passed away during our Seattle trip, on October 21st.
He loves sports, and can't take his eyes off of the football game for a quick picture. He never was a huge fan of all those pictures we were taking. Right before this picture, Papa John told me I looked beautiful and that he liked my sweater. He told Whitney she was a little "Cutie pie!" Whitney was always talking about Papa John and wanted to be in his room.
Here is our sweet Honey. When I told Whitney we were going over to see Honey & Papa John, she said, "Honey & Pooh Bear!"
Please remind me not to sit for pictures when I'm pregnant. It's not flattering.
Whitney & Stephen had some fun together.
The day before my arrival was Cara's birthday. The big 22! We love you Pokey Bear!!
Playing in the backyard with Jordan & Nathan
Getting ready for bed. This was on a night where cute Emily put Whitney to bed and they snuggled all night long.
I LOVE this picture! Here is Shawna.. the BRIDE.. (brown hair sitting down) and Annette (A.K.A. Self-proclaimed wedding planner and 2nd in line for Maid-of-Honor. I was actually the Maid-of-Honor, but Annette TOTALLY thought she was.) Look behind Annette. This is the living room filled with an air mattress (mom's sleeping quarters) and TONS of wedding decorations. I'm pretty sure this was the day Annette flew into town and started sorting through all the wedding stuff.
One of my favorite things about this wedding was that Shawna had 4 sisters to give her plenty of "wedding night" advice. Here we are at the bachelorette party. Too bad we didn't have it at the Fairwood Library as planned. We used Annette's hotel room instead. I didn't take THAT many pictures at this party for three reasons:
1. I was laughing too hard
2. Juliana was taking most of the pics with her SLR
3. Most of the pictures taken are a bit too risque for the blog
There's Juliana snapping away and Annette & Tanya laughing in the background.
One afternoon, these two princesses were treated to a pedi & a mani in the backyard.
Afterwards, they dined on the finest crackers...
And then were treated to a "spa" bath.
Bart came into town on Wednesday evening before the wedding. I WISH he could have been there the whole time. Here's Bart & Todd on the way to the temple- Thursday night.
Friday afternoon we were treated to a Groom's dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Here's our Princess trying to get some beauty rest at the luncheon.
And here is the happy couple waiting for their food.

Why does no one tell me when they come to Seattle?!?! It's like they're bust seeing their families and going to weddings and stuff. Geez..... Well, I'll just pretend that I got to see you! You for sure lucked out on the weather--fall has been gorgeous this year!
