Easter Morning...

Easter was a real treat this year.  Whitney had been BEGGING for a Rapunzel dress (to go with her homemade yarn-yellow hair) for many, many, many weeks.  I told her that maybe the Easter Bunny would bring her one.  She loved to look online at the different styles of Rapunzel dresses. If you know me, then you know I'm a total cheap-o and don't like to buy new dress up clothes- I much prefer the hand-me-downs and Thrift-store finds.  (As well as those great gifts!)  But this was all the girl could talk about for weeks- so I had to have a very serious conversation with the Easter Bunny about buying her that very special (non-scratchy, nightgown) Rapunzel dress FROM the Disney Store.

The reaction on Easter morning was priceless:

She was almost in tears of delight when she spotted that gown.  It was after she found a bounty of plastic colored-eggs which were filled with chocolates and jelly beans.  She then started hunting for her basket.  When she finally looked in the right cupboard, her reaction (luckily caught on video) was so cute.  She said, "Aaaah!  (Gasp!)  He bringed a Rapunzel Hair!  He just brung that! He gave everything to me!"  I'm so glad I have it on camera to remember her sweet little tone and her joy.

Bubba liked eating chocolate and riding around on this tricycle.

Here's Rapunzel in her tower:

Just a few before Church while Bubba was napping:

Are you dying that she went to church in FLOPS?  How could I have forgotten to get her sandals?  She loves her flops.

I know this next one didn't turn out... but that's our little townhouse:

Meanwhile, Bubba realized VERY early on that there were chocolates in those plastic eggs.  He had a giant Cadburry Chocolate Egg all to himself (for breakfast) while sitting in his high chair.  His face looked like he was in a diabetic coma after he gobbled down the sugary treat.  He LOVES chocolate. (Just like his Mama!)

Easter is one of my very favorite holidays.  What a beautiful Sunday we had.  An incredible thing to take a special day to remember the Resurrection of our Savior, and that we can all be together again once more.  For this, I am truly grateful.  What a neat family I have- and so many sweet blessings.
