DC Day 1 Cont...

After making it over to Arlington Cemetery, we went to see some of the monuments as it was getting dark.  We first saw this new monument dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr.

Then we made it over to see this neat guy:

And a few of these soldiers:
(Korean War... I need to learn more about this war.  And from asking around... it seems like most people need to learn more about this war too.)

Memories from Lincoln Memorial?
1.  It was pretty neat.
2.  MacKay needed to nurse, and so I was nursing him (trying to be modest) over on the side steps of the monument.  There were about a million mosquitoes so I was also trying to keep him from getting bitten as well.
3.  Bart and Whit had a photo-shoot while I was nursing him- then we stopped at a coffee stand to get hot water for his bed-time bottle.
4.  We walked around after the sun went down and just enjoyed the beauty of the sites.  We walked down to the WWII monument, took some pics. Whitney took off her shoes and danced around the fountains.  The Washington Monument had a crack in it- and is not up for tourists.
5.  The reflective pool was also "under construction" and THUS:  we need to go back to DC.  That's all there is too it!

Love her face:

This boy loves his home-state:

Also, can you send me over some of your adorable pictures of the cousins. They are too cute!!! Also, love the pic of Whit on the steps of the Jefferson.
