A Special Sunday

When Whitney was born, my mom gave me a dress that I wore when I was her age.  This cute, light-lavender dress is so sweet.  After her shower, I showed her the special dress she'd be wearing.  Then she put it on without fighting me.  (Hallelujah!)  Here she is with her wet hair, waiting patiently at the bottom of the stairs, while Bart took her picture:

Then I started taking pictures.  Here she is wanting the "HER" keys to go in that red purse.  This girl gets something in her mind and is very determined.  I wonder where she gets that from?

Finally has them:

Next stop:  her potty.  Uh, sweetie, I think it's a little early for that special item in your hand.

Yes, I'm serious.

Okay, a couple of shots with mommy.  Please, just smile.  We are late.

Like I said:  SMILE!

Much better.

After church, we were able to take some pictures by the temple.

What a neat Sunday to wear a special lavender dress that is (almost 30 years) old!

That is so fun. I too have a dress that Dad found and gave to me. Erin wore it when she was little. Fun to have that memory.

My little gitl is so adorable!! THE DRESS - I can't believe she is wearing it and it is still in style. Thirty years old and still looks like you just bought it. Give her a big squeeze!
