Shoe Shopping

On Saturday, before the Egg Hunt, we decided to break away from our usual thrift store shopping, to get Whitney a NEW pair of summer shoes.  The thrift store doesn't usually have shoes that look like they aren't carrying about 50 million diseases on them.  She had nothing except for these cute little white ones in the picture below.  I love them, except her toes hang over the front.
We first went to Old Navy.  They had about 2 pairs of shoes for her age.  Can you say, 'picked over?'

Then it was over to Target.  Love this store, probably not as much as my older sister, Juliana, though.

Whitney loves to 'BE' the shopper:  Goes through the clothes, looks at the price tags and give an occasional, "CUTE!" when she sees something she likes.  Here's her and Bart checking out some shoes:

Bart found these darling flip-flops.  After we put them on, I took a picture.
Whitney kept saying, "Big! Big!"
I asked her if they were too big and she said, "Yeah."

Then she said, "Hurt! Hurt!"
We asked, "Where do they hurt?"
She bent over and pointed to the inside of the first two toes and said, "There!"
She hates flip-flops.

Yes, she wore her sunglasses inside the entire time.

Here's Whitney and Bart trying on a different pair.

We didn't get either of the ones in the picture.  We left with pink sandals and white sandals.  She likes both her new pairs.  It's fun to get new things sometimes! And yes, I mean NEW (not used) things.

I too love shopping at the thrift stores for kid clothes (they don't wear them long anyway!), but can not stand the thought of used shoes. I just hate feet. It took Molly a whole summer to get used to the idea of flip-flops, and now she loves them. Glad you found something cute!

We just did the same thing with Averi! It was time for summer sandals & they were hard to find! Why are toddler shoes so expensive? Its crazy! Target was the spot though! And I love the shades! She looks like one sassy chic! Way too cute!
