Hair
I guess many 5 month old babies don't have hair quite like Whitney does. I was never really fascinated by her hair, until recently, when it started doing some crazy things. For instance, this morning when I awoke to Whitney 'talking' to herself, I looked over (by this point in the morning, she's in my bed) to see Whitney's hair literally standing on end. If I hadn't been so sleep-deprived (yes, sleeping is still an issue, but that's a whole different post) I would have burst out laughing. I did get a chance to snap a few pictures.
Another interesting thing Whitney's hair does is stick out on the left side. It's this long piece of hair that sometimes curls, sometimes sticks straight out and is mostly very noticeable. I'm not quite sure what to do with it, just yet-- but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Here she is with it sticking out.. she's in a darling dress given to Whitney by her Aunt Juliana.
One day, she did sit still enough for me to put in a little clip. I thought it was so cute. I did start wondering if she would yank it out and put it into her mouth, so I decided I better take it out unless I was watching her like a hawk.
Now for the slick look...
Whitney's hair can get so cute and curly in the tub, but when you poor water over her head it goes straight. She doesn't even mind if the water goes all over her face, either!
So there you have it. I got some good pictures of her big, beautiful eyes in those pictures as well. Whitney also has a little tooth poking out of her bottom gum. Bart couldn't be more proud. She won't let me get a good picture of that one, yet- but when she does, I'll be sure to post.

LOL.. Cute little girl. Her hair so precious. I agree about the clip and her sticking it in her mouth... Camilla tried that and that's when I stopped. Now I'm lucky if I can get anything on her hair! Sleep deprivation... you know, Camilla didn't start sleeping through the night until she was 9 months old or so... Then again, she always had some sleep "issues" (i.e. not long enough naps). Good luck! Just hang in there. It'll be over at some point :) I actually miss cuddling with Camilla while trying to get her to sleep. She sits on my lap for maybe 5 min now, and then runs off to fun things!
I love it!!! I so hope my future babies have sweet hair. Oh the things you could do with it.
Yeah, we spend a lot of time dealing with baby hair here, so I can sympathize. Kennedy has probably consumed her share of clear elastics and the like already, but if I don't do SOMETHING with it, I'll have to chop bangs and I don't want to.
Mmmmm, sleep. It's getting betterish here but I head ya! Good luck with that!
