Gingy Houses

Bart's family has a great tradition of making and decorating Gingerbread houses. Marsha (Bart's mom) goes all out and bakes, cuts and hot glues the houses together. I don't know how she does it all. We missed out on the Paxtons' Gingy house decorating this year because we live so far away. I decided that we would decorate gingy houses while we were in Washington at my parents' house. We bought the kits and extra candy because I am too sleep deprived to bake all of that gingerbread. I decorated my house with my sister, Cara. For this being a Paxton family tradition, Bart wasn't all that interested in decorating... I didn't mind because he took care of Whitney and got some great pictures.
My brother, Stephen, didn't want to hot glue his house together. He and my mom used burned sugar. Let's just say that they took the "burned" part a bit too far. The kitchen was filled with smoke. Cara got mad because we had to open all the windows and it was FREEZING! The next picture is of Bart covering Whitney's face when he smelled the smoke. I'm sure I said something like, "Get her out of here.. I don't want her lungs turning black!"

I love the tired pictures of Whitney. Krista I didn't even recognize you with your hair straight. I love it, it looks good.
