Our Trip to Kirtland, Ohio!

We drove about 2 1/2 hours up to Kirtland, Ohio on Friday. We thought it was cold in Columbus, but we were FREEZING in Kirtland. It was a really neat experience to see the historical Church sites. Here is the Newel K. Whitney Store. We got to tour many of the buildings that were restored. The Senior missionaries were very knowledgeable in the history of this time.
This is a reproduction of a saw mill.

Here's Shawna and Brett in their seats. Notice the Nutty Bars.
We also went on a tour of the 1st Latter-day Saint temple. The Community of Christ now owns this temple. It was so neat to see. Right across the street is one of the houses that Joseph and Emma Smith lived in.
The Kirtland Temple.

I LOVE your blog! I'm so happy you update it now. I can't believe you were in Kirtland. That's just 45 minutes from Ashtabula, which is where my mom grew up. Now I have 2 great reasons to come out to OH (you guys AND all my cousins!) Maybe in March over your Spring Break? We would have so much fun! It was great chatting last night. Talk soon.
