Pull out the fine china and your Kenny G. Christmas CD- it's Thanksgiving at the Paxton's house. This year we were blessed to celebrate Thanksgiving with Krista's siblings, Shawna and Brett.I realized while making this feast, that it is a lot of work. Our 14 lb. turkey was good, minus the fact that it was overcooked. But- it LOOKED really good. (Remind anyone of Chevy Chase's Christmas vacation when they cut open the turkey?) I told everyone that we needed to spend at least 1 hour eating because it took so long to make. We were stuffed!
Bart and I are considering going out to eat next year. .. but then we wouldn't have the fridge full of left-overs.
Shawna kept saying, "The mashed potatoes are so creamy." (Can you guess which part she prepared?)
Here's dessert. 3 pies for four people.. that seems about right? We still have 2 pies left if anyone wants some.

lucky girl! i love when family gets to come and especially for thanksgiving. that is such a descriptive way to put it. i don't think anyone can say that they don't know how the turkey blows open when they cut into it. anyway, glad you had a good holiday.
