Merry Christmas Eve 2011

Christmas Eve started with Santa & Mrs. Claus making an appearance at our house.  Whitney wanted nothing to do with Santa, and wouldn't sit on his lap.  She loved that Grandma was dressed up like Mrs. Claus to join Santa.  On a side note:  When Santa & Mrs. Claus left, I asked Whitney "Did Santa come to your house?"
She said, "No. That was Grandpa Santa, not the REAL Santa.  He is coming tonight."
There ain't any foolin' this Smarty.

She got this darling Nut-cracker or "Cracker-Nut" as she sometimes calls him.

Bubba woke up from his nap (was woken up from his nap) to meet Santa for the first time.

Then we had a dance party in the kitchen:

After lunch and the dance party, the Paxton's went to Walmart and Costco, while the Muir family got a lot of freebees at Trafalga.  Fun Fun.

When everyone got back home, we had dinner:  Ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, apple sauce, broccoli and salad.  Tasty Tasty.  This is the picture from Whitney's perspective of Annette and me in the kitchen.

We watched some old Christmas videos that we had from a few Christmas Eve's ago.  Then put on our own Nativity play.  This is while we're singing, Silent Night.  YEs, Bubba is singing along too.  He loves this song.

Picture time:

 I didn't tell you we're vampires?  Oh, I didn't change all the red-eyes.

This is when we locked Annette and three of her kids outside:
 Merry Christmas Eve, 2011!!!

That night before Whitney went to bed, she put out cookies and milk for Santa.  This morning she ran into our room and said, "Mom!  Wake up!  Let's go see if Santa came!"

So cute. You are so good at taking pictures. I don't know if I got any pictures with all of us together. I need to work on that.
