I don't know how else to describe this boy, except for saying he is a big chubby, bundle of sweet love. He is rolly polly, chub-a-ronie, full of smiles, giggles, loves and fun. I cannot get enough of my boy. Has there been a baby loved more by a big Sissy? I doubt it.
When Whitney walks into the room, talks, screams, cries, yelps, smiles or laughs, MacKay is immediately looking for his big sister. Saying he loves her would be an understatement. Of course, being the Mom, I think it's adorable.
This month, not much has changed in MacKay's sleeping: he still does the 2-3 naps; each about 1.5-2 hours long. Sometimes he'll pull a 3 hour nap- but it's if he's pretty exhausted. I'm one of those "crazy" moms who doesn't like to have a tired baby. We pretty much give MacKay all the naps he can get and try to stay home for him to get good sleep. I find it makes my life much easier. Sometimes I'll brave an outing inbetween the morning and afternoon nap, but I'll try to make it quick. We usually go on some "outing" after the first two naps, so his third one is on-the-go. I'm sure as I have more and more children, this will be much more difficult (impossible?). But for now I try to spoil my kids with good sleep.
MacKay is a busy boy. He loves to roll around in his crib and when we put him to bed, he immediately goes to his belly. For many months, now, little Mac loves to have "one more goodbye." This means that we'll put him down for nap/bed and then he lays/talks/fusses for a few minutes. He'll want us to come back in, and give him a binky and a love before he closes his eyes.
He loves jumping on our laps and is starting to army crawl on the bed. Once in a while, when he's in his crib, he will "practice" his best crawling techniques. I'm not anxious to have a crawler. I know that baby-proofing the house leads to chasing around a busy toddler.
I want to freeze MacKay at this age. He is loveable, happy and just excited to see people. He is starting to sit up more on his own. He loves to grab for things and immediately put them into his mouth.
One of my favorite things MacKay does at 7 months is make a funny face. (Pictured above.) He squints his eyes, and breathes quickly in and out of his nose. He does this in response to us doing it- which makes it pretty adorable.
Food: Well, he loves just about everything. Puffs, cheerios, baby food and small pieces of whatever we've got. He munches on it like he's chewing bubble gum before it goes down the gullet, or right onto his shirt. He's never turned down anything- and I LOVE it.
MacKay has his two bottom teeth. Those popped in while we were on our trip to Utah just shortly after he turned 6 months. I hardly knew he was teething, he was super chill about it.
I think the little chunk is about 20 pounds. At his 6 mos appointment he was 19 lbs 8 oz. That was just a week and a half ago. We are still squeezing the last of our size 3 diapers on the poor guy. (Wears size 4 at night).
MacKay, you are adorable. We love you so much. If I could guarantee the rest of my babies would be just as sweet as you, I'd have ten more. Seriously, you're just about as good as it gets!

I'm one of those "stay home and let baby sleep" mom's too. I would way rather take a sleeping baby over dragging a crying baby around at the zoo :) He is so cute!
Oh my goodness! I love him. I read the whole thing...my fav is one more goodbye.
He is a sweet heart :). I love that first picture of him and whit - he looks so pleased with life!
MacKay is so cute! I wish we lived closer because it sounds like Blake and him would be best buds :) Kudos to you for protecting his naps...poor Blake doesn;t get too many naps at home...hmmm maybe that's why he still doesn't sleep through the night.
