Head: I guess they didn't tell me.
Whitney is a real cutie. She loves her "mommy" and pretty much has me wrapped around her finger. Within the last few weeks (after she got over a 2-week cold) she's been asking for "Dada/Bart/daddy" when he's away. She even will give him a smooch on the lips before he leaves for school. She loves to play peek-a-boo and teasing/tickling games. She loves being with her parents.
Just recently, however, she has started to "play" on her own and loves to be with other kids. In fact, if I tell her we're going to play with kids, then she'll just keep repeating, "Kids, kids, kids" until we finally arrive. You would think this would work for nursery on Sundays, however, it doesn't. She loves being with other kids and is okay to leave me (for a bit) unless it is on Sundays in nursery. Luckily, for us, she did stay in there for a whole hour without either of us being there this past Sunday. Did I mention how good it feels to be able to listen to an entire lesson?
Whitney is finally lovin' her crib. She likes to rock and cuddle before being put down, but will fall asleep on her own surrounded by Elmo, Bear & Dog. Yes, all three are required for a proper night's sleep. She usually sleeps between 10.5-11.5 hours at night, and takes between a 2-3 hour nap during the day. I must write down that she did take a 4 hour nap the other day. It was delightful! No- that's not normal. I feel like sleep was the hardest part about having Whitney as a baby. I can honestly say that I am grateful for each night that I am NOT getting up in the middle of the night. Isn't sleep so nice?
Whitney loves to tease and tickle and tackle her BFF, Jadyn. It's pretty funny, but somehow Jadyn doesn't always think it's funny. Unfortunately, Whitney doesn't catch on when Jadyn's shooing her away! I think Whitney learned all that teasing from Bart.
Whitney loves the bath or shower. She hates her hair being brushed and really hates being changed into any type of clothing. She loves to read books and when she tears a page will say, "Uh oh!"
Lately, Whitney's been repeating just about any word- no, she doesn't know what they mean, and that is why it's so cute. She loves to push "buttons" "play" with "kids" and tells me she's "hungry" when I get her out of bed. Whenever the toilet is flushed, she will say "poo poo" and likes to sit on her little potty for fun.
Whitney still loves movies or "shows" as she calls them. Right now she loves Elmo, The Wiggles, and any show with babies or animals. Looks like we either need to have a baby, or get a dog.

What a cutie! Can't believe how big she's getting. Already 18 months? Crazy. You have the cutest pictures of her. I understand about the crazy hair...Molly has the hair that if it's not done perfectly, it looks completely wild.
You would think that Ohio and Indiana would get some fairly similar weather, but I have to admit we haven't had it quite so bad this year. Those icicles are crazy!
oh my goodness... sophie was 21 pounds at SIX months! haha... you are so lucky to have a light-weight to haul around! she is so adorable!
Krista she is SO SO SO SO cute and 18 months is such a cute age. I love her big eyes. She is a doll.
Jessica was excited to see her "flat Jessica".
Can you believe it, Jake weighs more than Whitney. She is so cute!
Love this post, Krista! I was amazed to see her 6 month pic because in my mind she still looks like that. but when I could compare, it is truly AMAZING how big she is! I love reading your posts about all Whit's new words and antics!
