The Birthday Boy
Guess who is 28 today? Yup! My cute hubby.
I can't help but wish him a Happy Birthday on our blog. Bart is the most handsome, lovable, kind, PATIENT and caring man I know- he's really the love of my life. I tell him all the time that I can't believe he wanted to marry me. (Basically, I was a complete wreck the entire time we dated.. FYI.) He makes me laugh everyday. I don't know if there could have been a more perfect match for me than Bart. He is truly a great daddy to our little Whitney. I think he's probably changed more diapers than me. Bart is such a good listener, too. On one of our first dates, he took me on a picnic (and made homemade brownies)... I started talking about how I wondered why the leaves changed colors in the fall. Well, he actually researched it for me and on our next date, he explained why. How's that for sweet? Although Bart doesn't remember the first time we actually saw each other- that first encounter is burned into my memory. It was at Andrea Facer's house on the day of Bart's missionary farewell. I thought he was the hottest thing I had ever seen. He didn't even notice I was there. Two years later, I saw him again at our annual back to school BBQ at the Pillar House. Once again.. he didn't notice me. (Are you seeing a trend?) Finally, I caught his eye as he came to the Pillar House to visit Andrea. I had been cleaning the bathroom and was not in presentable clothes. When I heard a knock at the door, I decided to cover up with a big winter trench coat. It probably looked a little weird because it was about 85 degrees outside. But when I opened the door and saw those beautiful blue eyes- it was like magic. I know that is probably the cheesiest thing to ever write on a blog.. but it honestly was. It really felt like magic to me. I know that he didn't feel a thing. I immediately went upstairs and changed into a cuter outfit. We started dating and almost 2 years later, we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. It really was the happiest day of my life. I am so thankful to be sealed to my very best friend for time and all of eternity.
Happy Birthday. I love you so much, Bart. Thank you for marrying me.

Oh Barty Boy....Happy happy Bithday! I just LOved this post Krista...seriously it brought me to tears. I love you two like you wouldn't believe...seriously two of the greatest people I have ever known...you are a match made in heaven...both so fun and funny...caring and kind...sweet and sassy...sporty and (well bart is sporty and krista is more "dancy"...her idea of sports is wearing a sports bra!) But seriously I loved the pics of you two...especialy seeing you in the PH...Oh the memories! I didn't remember the one about the trench coat...that is the cutest thing Krista bunny but you don't give yourself enough credit...if I'm not mistaken I remember Barty boy commenting on the "curly-hair" girl in the pictures I sent him while he was on the mish...he knew you all a long he was just waiting for the stars to align and the right time! Thank goodneeds Andrea brought you two together becuase there really isn't any one worthy of my bunny balls but Bart! I really hope you have a great day today cuase you are such a great guy and I have respected you as long as I can remember. You were always such a great example growing up even if you dated a few scandalous girls I knew you'd find the perfect jewel of a wife and you did! WE wish we lived closer cuase we have so much fun with you guys and Jared loves you best! I mean...he loves you lots...he loves all our friends but you two hold a special place in my heart. Ok that is enough...maybe you should delete this so no one feels bad! Love you!

Happy Birthday, Bart!
I remember being 28 a few birthdays ago. Can I just say what a great looking family you are. I just had to lend my Praxis study guide to a new teacher and it made me feel all nostalgic for our fun study sessions. I really miss you sometimes, but I'm so happy for you the rest of the time. RaeAnn
