Two Months
Whitney is 9 weeks old today. Bart prefers that we count by months and not weeks- it must be a guy thing. She is getting so big and so talkative. No, she doesn't actually speak English.. but she's fluent in baby-talk. I wish I could just understand what she is saying. Nobody can get her to smile as well as Bart can. Her favorite things to do at this age are: sleep (I wish a little big longer!), eat, smile, baby-talk, play in the bath, stare at things and SWING. She loves to be on the move, which is motivation for me to go on walks.
Yesterday, we went to the doctor and found out that she is steadily gaining weight. Before I put her on the scale, I asked the nurse to guess how much she thought Whitney would weigh. (I mean, this lady does this on a daily basis, I thought it might be fun for her to have a little guessing game.) She said, "Oh.. about 15 or 16 pounds?"
Really? Does my baby look that big? When we found out that she weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz, the nurse said, "She looked a little thicker than that."
Hmm.

I found this scrapbook paper and Whitney really likes looking at it.

This girl must be a "Bishopp!" She loves staring in the mirror. This entertains her for quite some time. Now, if she could just get a good grasp on tweezers, she could be just like her mom and pluck her eyebrows each night before retiring to bed.

Happy 2 months Whitney! She is just as pretty as her mama! I think she looks just perfect. Preston is 4 months and he only weighs 14.5 pounds, to give you an idea.
I LOVED the pics of her talking to the scrapbook paper and oogling at herself in the mirror! So CUTE! Maybe it's the black and white pattern that she enjoys so much about that paper...
and did you make all those bows?

wow! 2 months already?! she is adorable. someday i need a little girl (although my boy is oodles of fun).
reggie was 13 pounds by his 2 month appointment. apparently i grow big babies.
Has it really been two months? If you are like I was with James you probably feel like it was only yesterday you were welcoming her into the world, and yet at the same time you feel like she has always been in your family. You cannot imagine life without her. I suspect that is how I'll feel with my second baby too.
I love the picture of you two. You are both such pretty ladies! I also love the picture of Whitney in the brown and pink outfit. She looks so pretty there in her crib.
P.S. Do you really pluck your eyebrows every night?

The big 2 months! Krista she is just so adorable. I love the brown dress and bow- so cute and propped up in her crib too! Funny with the paper- before you know it she will eat and destroy that paper! Just so many cute pictures keep taking them. love you

ok whitney is adorable...i love all the pics...and I had the same brown dress for Elise...speaking of dresses...I have had a little present for Whitney for what did you say 9 weeks now! Seriously I need to send it! I am such a slacker...i think i kept waiting to see the announcment...did you ever send one? i hope i didn't miss it! ANyway...I love the last few posts about your family and Halloween...and i espeically love teh pics of Bart as a Pirate! I am trying to get Marcus to be that this year actually but he wants to be spiderman...we shall see how wins! Love you girl and glad to know you are still alive and well.

It is hard to believe they are already past 2 months. Crazy how time flies. Anyhow, I had to write because I just put up the post with our halloween costumes, and I think it has been since our crazy fun times as freshman that I have actually dressed up, and totally had a blast doing so! The first time we met we dressed up, and so this year when i put on my costumes, i actually reminisced about freshmen year and it made me think of you and all our fun times!!!

ok so you get the most comments of any blog i know! You two are just too popular! So what was whitney for halloween? A bunny!?! I have the cutest old navy bunny costume that is 3-6 months...i should have sent it to you...acutally is super big so it would prolaby fit her for Easter!
Oh she is such a doll! I am so glad I was able to see her in person, she is even cuter! Thanks for coming to the party it was so fun to get together again, we need to do it more!
